From underneath the sink, install the gasket, backup ring, mounting components, and retaining ring according to the disposal manufacturer’s instructions.
Tighten the mounting screws evenly, alternating between them so the flange stays level.
Remove the excess plumber’s putty that squeezes out around the flange inside the sink.
